St Bartholomew's is a Church of England church in the village of Ripponden, West Yorkshire, on the edge of the Pennines.
The village boasts both beautiful scenery and a vibrant community. There is always plenty to do and see. Browse the shops and, if you have time, fit in a beauty treatment in between picking out unusual gifts, or choosing a stunning piece of jewellery. In the surrounding countryside you can enjoy exhilarating walks and bike rides, play tennis or have a go on the swings in the local park, and, for the more daring, we even have a skate park! To perk yourself up afterwards, you can visit one of the cafes, traditional old pubs, or cutting-edge restaurants.
The church reflects the busy community, with a wide range of groups for every age. We have a varied social calendar including, amongst other things, musical concerts and the annual Christmas Craft Fair. You can see full details of groups and events on our website. The church is also a popular venue for Christenings and weddings.
Wherever you are in the world, we hope you enjoy your visit and find the information and news about our faith, work and village life in Ripponden useful.
